Facts Knowing About Spotify’s Grammy Party January 2025
Various famous Spotify songwriters namely Jessi Alexander, Amy Allen, Edgar Barrera, and Jessie Jo Dillon have decided that they will not join the Spotify Grammy Party of the year which is going to be held on January 28, 2025.
They also clear that their decision regarding not to join or performing in coming Grammy party of the year is spotify controversial changes to royalty payments for songwriters.

Moreover, Allen and Dillon also criticized for the deduction of $150 million in royalties over the year.
Furthermore, another name Raye also criticized over the year deduction and stand with songwriters rights and also not committed to attend the Grammy event of the year.
And clear here that this boycott has created severe condition in music industry and on social media, as well as, many industry leaders i.e. David Israelite of the National Music Publishers Association criticized and condemning this Spotify’s actions or changes for the deduction in royalties.
On the other hand, Spotify combined its premium music service with audiobooks service and clear that how it pays songwriters. Due to this spotify step, has created upset in music industry. Because, they believe that it unfairly lower their payment.
While, spotify stated that it is normal for industry but many others songwriters are still in protesting against spotify changes.
More interesting is that Recording Academy, which organizes the Grammy Awards, supports the songwriters and their right to fair pay.
